New Graduate Prize

The prize is awarded annually to three graduates or young members of the Profession to allow them to attend a BSSPD annual conference. The 2012 prize includes the following;

  • Membership of the Society for 12 months
  • Conference fee and attendance of the Annual Conference
  • Attendance at the Annual Dinner as a guest of the Society
  • Accomodation costs for two nights

The prize will only be awarded once per graduate.

Applicants must posess a dental qualification, and be within four years of their date of initial registration at the time of the Annual Conference they wish to attend.

Application for the award must be made to the Honorary Awards Administrator. Applicants should submit a short three to five hundred word account of their reasons for applying and its expected benefits. For vocational trainees this must be supported with a short endorsement (cover letter) by their trainer, for house officer's and general professional trainees by their Head of Department.

The President and two other members of the Society appointed by the President will judge the prize. The award will be announced to the applicants one month before the start of the Conference.
