Maxillofacial Prosthodontics - Managing the ravages of oro-facial malignancy

This lecture will cover some of the challenges facing the maxillofacial prosthodontist in the management of patients with Oro-facial malignancy.

By the end of the lecture the attendee will gain understanding of:

• The unwanted oral and dental effects of headand neck cancer treatments
• The prosthodontic management of patients with maxillary defects and significantly altered oral anatomy.
• The risks and benefits of using implants of oral rehabilitation with implants in head and neck cancer patients.
