Why should I join BSSPD?

By joining BSSPD you are becoming part of a global group of over 700 dentists, doctors, scientists and other dental care professionals who are interested in Prosthodontics. The society is one of the oldest in the U.K. and our members have always been at the forefront of scientific, clinical and academic dentistry.

Our membership fee is competitively priced...

  • £110 per year for ordinary membership.
  • £50 per year for full-time postgraduates, young practitioners (qualified for three years or less since graduating), and StRs/SpRs.
  • £50 per year for those completely retired from practice (i.e. no longer registered with the GDC).
  • £5 per year for undergraduate students (undergraduate membership does not entitle you to receive the journal).

  • Subscription to the European Journal of Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry
  • Access to the members' area of our website, discussion forums and blogs
  • Reduced rates to our annual conference

The BSSPD is active in supporting further research and education in the field of dental prosthetics. We support a wide and varied number of prizes that members are eligible to apply for. Please visit the awards section for more information.

Please note: The membership period runs from the beginning of February to the end of January. If you join between February and September you will need to renew again the following February. If you join after September, you do not need to renew until the February after next.

Reduced rates

To join at the reduced rates please select the appropriate 'select membership type' from the drop down menu on the 'Join the BSSPD' page.

You will be required to provide evidence of your status i.e. a letter from your head of department, either posted (see Contact us for details) or emailed to admin@bsspd.org along with your expected date of completion of studies.
