Clinical Lecturer and Hon. Consultant in Prosthodontics at King’s College London Dental Institute

Dentistry with Honours from the University of Manchester (2006), Dental Foundation Training with a Membership at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2008), a PhD in Enamel Erosion (2011) and an NIHR Academic Clinical Lectureship in Prosthodontics (2015). During his Specialty Training Rupert was awarded a Masters in Clinical Dentistry with Distinction and the Membership in Prosthodontics, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (2015).

Rupert was appointed an Honorary Consultant in Prosthodontics at Guy's and St.Thomas NHS Foundation Trust in 2017 and is currently the Service Lead for Digital Dentistry at Guy’s Dental Hospital.

Rupert holds Fellowships with the Higher Education Academy and the Academy of Medical Educators and is current President of the Odontology Section at the Royal Society of Medicine (2016-18). 

The main focus of Rupert’s research is to enhance diagnosis and treatment of enamel erosion using innovative optical imaging technologies. Rupert is a principle investigator and collaborator on clinical and laboratory research projects investigating erosion, tooth wear and digital dentistry. He regularly authors scientific publications in peer reviewed journals and text books and supervises Doctoral and Masters research projects.
