Steve Bonsor
Mr Steve Bonsor graduated with Honours from the University of Edinburgh in 1992 and has since gained a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies and an MSc. He taught restorative dentistry at undergraduate level for nearly ten years at the University of Dundee and works as a GDP in private dental practice in Aberdeen for nearly 25 years where he accepts referrals for restorative and surgical cases. In addition, he currently holds appointments at the University of Edinburgh as an Online Tutor on the MSc in Restorative Dentistry program and in the Institute of Dentistry at the University of Aberdeen as a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry and Academic Theme Lead for the Application of Dental Materials and Biomaterials.  As part of this latter post, he leads the Dental Practice-based Research theme and is Deputy Chair of the Institute of Dentistry Research committee.  

He is heavily involved in postgraduate dental education having lectured throughout the UK and is actively involved in research having published original papers in peer reviewed journals with his main research areas being antimicrobial photodynamic therapy and the clinical performance of dental materials.
