 Susan Tanner

Susan devotes herself almost entirely to dental implant prosthodontics having carried out a vast number of full arch implant reconstructions over more than 25 years, for both referring clinicians and for patients of her practice. She takes great pleasure in teaching, lecturing regularly on prosthodontic aspects of implant dentistry, working with small groups or one-to-one, training and mentoring, helping the general dental practitioner bring the benefits of implant treatments to their patients and their working life.

She has a particular interest in the implant rehabilitation of patients who have atrophic jaws and facial deformity, with the goal of providing immediate fixed reconstructions wherever possible. She utilises the latest technology to plan and construct restorations, working in close conjunction with implant surgeons, maxillofacial surgeons and laboratory technicians, streamlining the workflow to optimise outcome and help improve quality of life.

Susan is a past trustee and ardent supporter of the charity “Saving Faces”, The Facial Surgery Research Foundation, and a keen proponent for driving forward the agenda to increase the presence of women in implant dentistry:
