Title: "Where have we come from, where are we going - Tooth whitening"

Dentists often find embracing new trends and learning new techniques a challenge, implementing change in practice with the team and patients is a of great concern. In this lecture series, Linda will combine her knowledge with enthusiasm and passion to provide delegates with strategies to re-energize not only themselves, but their dental teams, overcoming these obstacles and help move practices to the next level.

The aim:
Is to provide delegates with the current theories and research surrounding tooth whitening, to enable the successful implementation of strategies which can help provide high quality results for patients.

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  1. Identify new trends in tooth whitening
  2. Recognize the role of the dentist as the oral physician.
  3. Practice comprehensive treatment planning for all patients.
  4. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients.
  5. Applying the skills and knowledge to provide combination whitening treatments to get predicable outcomes
  6. How to treat pre-existing sensitivity
  7. Recognize when appropriate white spot management techniques should be applied for patients.
  8. Identify strategies to expand the role of the dental hygienist & dental therapist in providing whitening treatment

Dr Greenwall is a Prosthodontist and Specialist in Restorative Dentistry. She lectures in the UK and internationally on tooth whitening, aesthetic dentistry, practice management and inspirational talks.

In June 2017 she was honoured by the Queen in her birthday honours to receive the British Empire Medal for her Service to Dentistry in the UK and Abroad. The medal ceremony was held on 17 November 2017 at the Tower of London and then she attended the Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in 2018.

In 2021 Linda helped set up Women Dentists Network, who are a group of female dentists who came together to encourage colleagues and friends to aspire to be at the forefront of dentistry to help with the challenges in developing careers amidst busy lives, gender biases and multiple demands on our resources.
