Neil Poyser
Neil Poyser is a Restorative Consultant and Specialist Practitioner in Nottingham, UK. He works at the Queen’s Medical Centre Hospital and in specialist referral practice.
Neil graduated from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London in 1998, with distinction in Restorative Dentistry. His junior training posts were at units in Norwich, Sheffield and Leeds, and his specialist restorative training in London. He was Honorary Treasurer for the society 2014 to 2020.
He has been Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham for the past 20 years. The unit is the lead hub for regional head and cancer, cleft and hypodontia services. The service focuses on the prosthodontic rehabilitation of patients affected by head and neck cancer and cleft including implant-based and removable prosthesis. He sits on the Nottinghamshire Local Dental Committee. Neil has been involved in the teaching and training of general dental practitioners, foundation dentists, dental core trainees and specialty trainees.
He works in specialised referral practice, and this focuses on toothwear management, implant-based treatments, and endodontics. He has a particular interest in the management of the worn dentition and adhesive techniques. He has undertaken clinical research, published articles and frequently lectures in this field.
