Conferences and events

The BSSPD has an annual conference and also runs other events throughout the year. 

Annual Conference

Our annual conference is usually held in March/April each year and aims to address topical issues of interest to the dental profession, both dentists and dental care professionals. The major part of the Conference consists of a scientific programme during which lectures and posters are presented. Active discussion of the presentations has always been a feature of this Conference.

Early Practitioners Group

To encourage participation from early practitioners, we aim to deliver a wide range of targeted study days.

Our next study day will be held in June 2026 (face to face) in Birmingham with the aim of providing specialty trainees within 12 months of sitting their ISFE or MPros exam an opportunity to practice oral examinations and obtain feedback on unseen restorative cases.
