Title: NAILING IT: Wellbeing and Leadership Strategies for Optimal Performance in a Changing World

Aim: To empower prosthodontists with practical strategies in wellbeing and leadership, helping them prevent burnout, thrive through change, and prepare the profession for the future by applying the principles of Optimal Performance.

By the end of this session, delegates will:

  1. Understand the concept of Optimal Performance and its role in sustaining wellbeing and professional success.
  2. Experience a live self-assessment through the Optimal Performance Quotient (OPQ) to reflect on their own current state.
  3. Explore key elements of the NAIL-IT Leadership framework as practical strategies to prevent burnout, enhance resilience and performance.
  4. Recognise the importance of leadership behaviours in shaping the future of prosthodontics during times of change.
  5. Identify how to apply wellbeing and leadership strategies in their daily practice, education, and team environments.

Delegates will be able to:

  • Define optimal performance and explain its relevance to wellbeing and leadership in prosthodontics.
  • Assess their own performance state using the OPQ and interpret what this means for their practice and future.
  • Apply at least three practical strategies from the NAIL-IT framework to prevent burnout and support resilience and performance.
  • Demonstrate awareness of how their leadership approach influences team culture, education, and patient outcomes.
  • Create a personalised action plan to enhance wellbeing and lead more effectively in a changing profession.
