Sustainability in Dentistry

Speaker: Dr Zahra Shehabi

Aims: To discuss the climate crisis and its relevance to dental care provision

Z Shehabi

Zahra is a Consultant in Special Care Dentistry at the Royal London Dental Hospital. She completed MSc's in Sedation and Special Care Dentistry and Healthcare Management in 2016. Zahra currently sits on the Board for the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) and is heavily involved in undergraduate and postgraduate sedation teaching. Zahra was appointed as a Sustainability Clinical Fellow in 2023 at Barts Health NHS Trust given her recent interest on the impacts of the climate crisis on health. She has since given many national presentations, taken part in a podcast on sustainability and won the HQIP Sustainability Hero award.
